Moenjodaro is in Sindh province, roughly 520km northeast of Karachi. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but getting there requires some planning.
By air: Moenjo Daro Airport (IATA: MJD) has scheduled domestic flights from Karachi on PIA. Flight time is around 50 minutes. The airport is 1.5km from the site. This is the easiest option.
By train: Larkana, the nearest major town, is about 28km from the site. Trains run from Karachi (Cantt) to Larkana on the Karachi–Quetta main line; journey times vary. From Larkana you'll need a taxi or rickshaw to the site.
By road: The drive from Karachi takes roughly 6 hours on the National Highway N-55 through Hyderabad and Larkana. Hiring a car with a driver is the most practical option if you haven't flown.
Accommodation: There is a small government guesthouse at the site; book through the Department of Archaeology and Museums in Karachi. Larkana has basic hotels. Most visitors arrive from Karachi as a day trip, which means an early morning flight.
