Hilal Bagh is a historic terraced garden just below the Mindoq Khar (Flower Palace), once the seat of the Maqpon rulers of Skardu. The garden featured marble fountains and stretched from the palace down to what is now the Skardu bazaar area.
Much of the original layout has been lost to modern development, but the site still gives a sense of the scale of the old royal compound. It is worth visiting alongside Skardu Fort (Kharpocho) on the rock above for a picture of how the rulers of Baltistan once lived.
