Bethlehem is just 10 km south of Jerusalem. Arab shared taxis and buses run frequently from the Damascus Gate area in Jerusalem's Old City. You will need to cross the Israeli checkpoint at the separation wall — on busy days this can take time. From the Palestinian side, regular transport also connects Bethlehem to Hebron and other West Bank towns.
