Anda sits on the quieter eastern side of Bohol, well away from the busier Panglao-Tagbilaran circuit. It is a small coastal town, but the beach is a real prize: pale sand, clear water, and a simple village setting rather than a strip of large resorts.
The town works best for travellers who want a few slow days by the sea. You can swim from the main beach, look for smaller coves along the coast, or head inland to the cave pools and low waterfalls that break up the limestone countryside.
Anda is not the easiest base if you want to cover all of Bohol's classic sights in a hurry. But if the plan is beach time, a motorbike ride, and a quieter side of the island, it makes good sense.
