Getting There

The Chocolate Hills are in the municipality of Carmen, about 55 km northeast of Tagbilaran, the provincial capital and the point of arrival for most visitors to Bohol.

From Tagbilaran, buses and vans run regularly to Carmen from the Dao Terminal — the journey takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. Alternatively, hire a motorbike-with-driver (habal-habal) or join one of the many organised tours that combine the hills with the Tarsier Sanctuary, Baclayon Church, and a Loboc River cruise in a single day. Tours depart from Tagbilaran hotels and from Alona Beach on Panglao Island.

From Cebu City, fast ferries reach Tagbilaran in about 2 hours. Day trips from Cebu are popular and feasible, though a night or two on Bohol allows a more relaxed visit.
