Mandaue is primarily an industrial and commercial city, but its central barangays have some worthwhile stops: the colonial Mandaue Church and Presidencia, the two bridges connecting the island to Mactan, and the sprawling malls that are the social hub for residents. Day trips to Cebu City and Mactan Island are easy from here.
