Iloilo City is served by Iloilo International Airport (ILO), about 12 kilometres north of the city centre in Cabatuan municipality. Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia all fly to Iloilo from Manila; the flight takes about an hour. There are also direct flights from Cebu, and some international routes via other Philippine hubs.
From the airport to the city, taxis are available at a fixed rate. Jeepneys and multicabs connect the highway near the airport to the city but require a walk from the terminal.
By sea, ferries connect Iloilo to Bacolod on Negros (about 1 hour, frequent departures from the Ortiz Wharf), to Manila (overnight, several companies operate), and to various other Visayan islands. The main ferry terminal is near the city centre.
From Manila by sea, the overnight Superferry or 2GO Travel vessels take about 20 to 22 hours and are a reasonable budget option that includes the experience of travelling through the islands at night.
