Iloilo International Airport (ILO) is about 18 kilometres north of the city centre in Santa Barbara municipality. Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia all fly to Iloilo from Manila (about an hour), and there are connections from Cebu and other Philippine cities. Taxis from the airport to the city centre are available at fixed rates; the journey takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.
By sea, ferries connect Iloilo to Bacolod on Negros Island (about an hour, frequent departures from Ortiz Wharf) and to Manila overnight. The 2GO Travel and other ferry operators run regular Manila services taking 22 to 24 hours. The main ferry terminals are conveniently located near the city centre. Iloilo is also the jumping-off point for ferries to Guimaras Island, with pump boats leaving from Parola wharf every few minutes.
