General Yamashita Memorial Monument

The General Yamashita Memorial Monument marks the site where Japanese general Tomoyuki Yamashita was executed in 1946 after his war-crimes conviction. A small shelter covers a Japanese-inscribed stone marker.

The stop is modest, but it is part of Los Banos' World War II landscape, especially around the former internment-camp area and the memorials tied to the liberation raid.
