Greenbelt Restaurants

The Greenbelt complex houses some of the most reliable mid-to-upscale dining in Makati, concentrated around Greenbelt 3 and 5. The combination of park terrace seating, air-conditioned interiors, and a wide range of cuisines makes it the default choice for business lunches, date nights, and group dinners that need to please a mixed crowd. The quality across the board is high even if the setting is unapologetically mall-adjacent.

Filipino fine dining is well represented, with several restaurants focusing on regional Philippine cuisine done with careful technique — dishes from the Ilocos coast, Bicolano coconut-based cooking, and Tagalog classics sit alongside tasting menus that reimagine indigenous ingredients. Japanese, Italian, and contemporary Southeast Asian restaurants fill out the rest of the options. Prices are higher than in Poblacion but not exorbitant by international standards, and the service is generally polished.

Alfresco seating beside the park's central fountains is especially pleasant in the evening when temperatures drop and the Ayala Triangle Gardens lights up. Book ahead at weekends for the more popular spots — walk-ins are possible on weekday lunches but the better restaurants fill quickly on Friday and Saturday evenings. The cluster of restaurants around the park also means you can easily switch to a different option if your first choice has a long wait.
