Eden Nature Park sits at 2,650 feet above sea level on the slopes of Mt. Talomo in the Toril district. The area was over-logged in the 1970s until pine trees were planted across the hillside, and today the park is a cool, green escape from the city below, with views across Davao City and the Davao Gulf.
The park has hiking trails, a flower garden, organic vegetable plots, mountain ponds, a fishing village, horseback riding, a swimming pool, playgrounds, and campsite huts for overnight stays. There is also an amphitheatre that hosts occasional performances.
Travel time from Davao airport is about an hour. From the city centre, head south to Toril and follow the signs uphill -- roughly 45 minutes by car.
