Bars and Cafes

Naga's café culture is driven by its university population — there are plenty of affordable, air-conditioned spots around Ateneo de Naga and the city centre. Most serve local coffee alongside Filipino café staples like halo-halo, milk teas, and rice meals. The city doesn't have an active bar strip, but a few spots around Magsaysay Avenue and the SM City area get lively on Friday and Saturday nights.

Café de Naga near the city centre is a popular spot with locals for espresso drinks and light meals. The café scene generally runs quiet during the day and picks up in the evening when students are out.

During the Peñafrancia Festival, temporary food and drink stalls fill the streets around the cathedral and riverside, and the city operates effectively as one large street fair for the duration.
