The city centre is compact enough to walk if you're not in a hurry and the heat is manageable (early morning and evening are best). For longer distances, tricycles (motorcycle-and-sidecar) are the standard local transport — they're everywhere, cheap, and will take you anywhere within the city. Agree a fare before boarding; expect to pay ₱20–40 for a short hop. For comfort in the heat, Grab works well in Naga and tends to be more reliable than flagging down a taxi.
Jeepneys run fixed routes along the main roads and are the cheapest option if you know where you're going. Routes are displayed on the side of the vehicle. The main jeepney terminal is near the central market.
For day trips to the Caramoan Peninsula or Mayon Volcano area, arrange transport through your hotel or the Naga City Tourism Office, or join a day tour — the roads and transfers to Caramoan in particular require local knowledge to navigate efficiently.
