Bacolod is well connected. Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and other carriers fly daily from Manila (about 50 minutes) and Cebu (30 minutes) to Bacolod-Silay Airport, 16 kilometres north of the city centre. Fast ferries from Iloilo take about an hour. By sea from Manila, the voyage is roughly 18 hours on inter-island shipping lines. You can also reach Bacolod overland from Negros Oriental via the mountain roads.
