Ozamiz is well connected by air and sea, and the 2024 opening of the Panguil Bay Bridge has made overland access from Lanao del Norte far easier.
By air: Labo Airport (also called Ozamiz Airport) operates a few kilometres north of the city centre on the road toward Gango. PAL Express and Cebu Pacific both run domestic flights connecting Ozamiz to Manila and Cebu. The airport is small but functional; tricycles and taxis wait outside.
By sea: The Port of Ozamiz handles inter-island ferry services. 2GO Travel runs to Manila, and Cokaliong Shipping Lines and Trans-Asia Shipping Lines serve Cebu City and Iligan City. Ferry travel is slower than flying but considerably cheaper and, on an overnight sailing, can be an experience in itself.
By road: From Cagayan de Oro, buses (Rural Transit, Super Five) follow the coastal highway northwest along Iligan Bay and into Ozamiz — around two to three hours depending on traffic and stops. From the Lanao del Norte side, the Panguil Bay Bridge has cut what was once a multi-hour journey into a short drive, making Ozamiz far more accessible from Iligan and the interior of Mindanao.
