The bayfront promenade is where Ozamiz residents go to watch the day end. Panguil Bay stretches north toward the mountains of Lanao del Norte, and on clear evenings the view across the water takes in ridgelines that seem to go on forever. The light at dusk is excellent — the kind of golden hour that photographers chase — and the bay breeze makes the heat bearable.
Since the Panguil Bay Bridge opened in September 2024, the crossing itself has become part of the attraction. The 3.77-kilometre extradosed bridge — currently the longest water-spanning bridge in Mindanao — is visible from the promenade and has quietly transformed the city's connectivity. What used to be a two-and-a-half-hour ferry journey to Lanao del Norte now takes minutes by road. The promenade runs along the waterfront near the port and the old fort, making it an easy walk that connects several of the city's main attractions.
