Pagadian City Hall

The city hall is a sprawling modern complex set on a hillside above the centre. Built in stages over the last decade, it combines a long colonnaded facade, sweeping ramps, and a central tower in pale stone and glass — out of scale with the rest of Pagadian, which is part of the point. The lawns and terraces in front are popular for evening walks and family photos.

It's worth a short stop on the way up to the cathedral: the grounds are open to the public, the view back over the bay from the steps is one of the best in town, and on weekends there are usually small events or a Zumba session running in the plaza below.
