A hillside complex on the western outskirts of Puerto Princesa, owned by the family of the late Senator Ramon Mitra, is the standard land-tour stop in the city. The ranch has a long viewpoint over Honda Bay; the adjoining Baker's Hill is a slightly kitsch garden of statues, miniature houses and bakeries, popular with Filipino visitors more than international tourists.
Pick up some hopia (mung-bean pastries) and pour-over Palawan coffee while you're there. About 20 minutes by tricycle from the centre.
