The most reliable sunset spot in El Nido. Republica sits at the far end of Las Cabanas beach on a rocky platform with a clear, unobstructed view west across the Bacuit Bay. Loungers and bean bags spread down to the sand; the drinks menu runs to fresh-juice cocktails, San Miguel, and a few overpriced wines.
Get there by 5 p.m. for a seat in high season. The food (Filipino-international grilled small plates) is competent rather than memorable.
