Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX)

PITX is not a typical tourist attraction, but as the Philippines' most modern and ambitious bus terminal it is genuinely worth knowing about — and as an example of what public infrastructure can look like when properly funded, it is striking enough to deserve a few minutes of attention.

Opened in 2018 on reclaimed land near the Coastal Road, the terminal serves inter-city buses to Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and the rest of southern Luzon. It is air-conditioned, organised, and clean by any standard — a radical departure from the chaotic roadside bus stops it replaced. There are food courts, convenience stores, and even a small commercial zone inside.

For travellers heading south from NAIA, PITX is the sensible connection point. Shuttle services run between the airport terminals and PITX, and buses depart regularly for Tagaytay, Batangas City, and other destinations.
