Ugong Rock

Community-run limestone outcrop near Puerto Princesa with caving, views, and a zipline

Ugong Rock is a limestone outcrop in Barangay Tagabinet, usually visited as an adventure stop on the way to or from the Underground River. The standard visit is short and physical: squeeze through cave passages, climb toward the top, look out over karst and rice fields, then descend by zipline if that is your kind of fun.

It is not a quiet nature reserve, but it is a good, community-run break from sitting in vans between Puerto Princesa and Sabang. Wear clothes that can take dust and awkward movement, and skip it if tight cave spaces are not your idea of a holiday.
