Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church

The "Hand of Jesus" Shrine sits on a hillside two kilometres north of Lucban town and is one of the major pilgrimage sites in southern Luzon. A 50-metre statue of the risen Christ tops a flight of 305 steps that climb past life-size dioramas of the Stations of the Cross and a replica of the Garden of Gethsemane. From the summit you look across the rice fields toward Mount Banahaw — on a clear morning the view is excellent and the climb less brutal than it sounds.

The site is run by Father Joey Faller, whose healing masses on Wednesdays and Sundays draw large crowds (and queue management is necessary; arrive early). Outside service times it is much quieter. There is also an ark replica, a small chapel, and a hill of crosses representing prayer petitions. Entry is free; modest dress required.

A story
The 50-metre Christ statue at the top of the 305 Via Dolorosa steps was finished in 2002 and is the largest of its kind in Asia, slightly taller than Rio's Christ the Redeemer (38m). The site was founded by Father Joey Faller, a charismatic Filipino priest known for healing services that draw busloads of pilgrims from across Luzon every Sunday.
