Blanco Family Museum

Three-storey gallery of paintings by a single Angono family

The Blanco family of Angono have produced painters for three generations, and their museum is essentially a 200-piece exhibition of their own work, organised by family member. Patriarch Jose Blanco, his wife Loreto, and their seven children have each been productive artists; the museum displays family portraits, village scenes, and a fair amount of self-referential portraiture (paintings of paintings, family members at their easels).

It is engaging in its earnestness. The youngest Blancos started exhibiting at primary-school age and their juvenile works are part of the display. A small shop sells prints and ceramics.
