When to Go

The dry, cooler months from December to February are easily the best — daytime temperatures around 28°C, lower humidity, and minimal rain. March to May is hot and dry; June through November is the rainy season, when waterfalls run high but the mountain trails can be slippery and the views muddy.

The big religious event is the May 1 procession to Antipolo Cathedral, when hundreds of thousands of devotees walk through the night from Manila. The Higantes Festival in Angono on November 22–23 honours San Clemente with parades of giant papier-mâché figures and is one of the most photographed local festivals in the country.
