The Al Hada cable car (Telefric) connects the top of the escarpment near Al Hada with the village of Al Kar far below, dropping over a kilometre in altitude over a span of around four kilometres. The cabins glide above a sheer drop and the view down the cliffs and out over the desert is more compelling than the small amusement park at the bottom.
The cable car runs daily and is busiest at weekends with Saudi families. Wind closures are common, particularly in summer afternoons.
