Ta'if International Airport (TIF) sits about 25 km east of the city and has domestic connections to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Medina. International flights are limited and mostly seasonal.
The most common way to arrive is by road from Jeddah or Mecca via the dramatic Al Hada escarpment road. The drive from Jeddah takes around two and a half hours, from Mecca about an hour and a half. Note that non-Muslims cannot transit through central Mecca; the bypass road around the city is well signed.
Long-distance buses connect Ta'if to all the major Saudi cities. The bus station is on the western edge of town.
