The Jeju Olle Trail is a network of 26 walking routes — totalling about 430 kilometres — that circle and cross the island. Established in 2007, the routes follow footpaths, coastal cliffs, oreum (volcanic cones), stone walls, and village lanes that would otherwise be inaccessible to visitors. The system is well marked with blue and orange ribbons and small horse sculptures indicating direction.
Individual routes (each 10–25 kilometres) can be walked in a day. Route 1, starting from Seongsan, and Route 7 on the south coast near Seogwipo are consistently recommended for scenery. Route 18, around the island's western cape, goes through traditional village landscapes. You can walk single sections without completing the full circuit. Stamp books for collecting stamps at each route's start and finish are available at Olle offices and make a good souvenir.
