Cheonjiyeon Waterfall

Forested waterfall walk near central Seogwipo, especially atmospheric after rain or at dusk.

Cheonjiyeon is the gentler of Seogwipo's central waterfalls, reached by a landscaped path through subtropical greenery rather than by scrambling down to the sea. The name means "sky connected with land", which is grander than the walk itself, but the pool, cliffs, and evening lighting make it one of the city's easiest good stops.

It is close enough to the market and harbour to combine with dinner in town. After heavy rain the falls are much stronger.
