Songganjeong Pavilion is associated with Jeong Cheol, the 16th-century scholar-official and poet better known by his pen name Songgang. After withdrawing from court politics, he spent several years in the Damyang area, and the pavilion recalls that quieter chapter of his life.
It is a small, reflective stop rather than a headline attraction, but it fits well with Damyang's gardens, pavilions, and literary heritage.
