Mangsang Beach is Donghae's broad, easy summer beach, north of the main city. It gets crowded when the weather is hot, but the long sand and open water make it useful if you want a straightforward swim rather than a scenic rock stop.
Outside peak season, it is better for walking than bathing. The scale of the beach helps after the tighter harbour streets around Mukho.
