Jikjisa Temple is Gimcheon's essential sight. Founded in the Silla period, it sits below Hwangaksan in a setting of pine, valley air, and temple buildings that reward a slow walk rather than a quick photo stop.
The complex includes old halls, stone Buddhist works, and a hall of roughly a thousand Buddha figures. It is especially good in autumn, when the wooded approach gives the temple a richer frame.
