Sajik Park sits above Yangnim-dong and gives Gwangju one of its easiest central viewpoints. The park has an observatory, pavilions, memorials, and the restored site of an old state altar.
It is especially pleasant in spring, when cherry blossoms bring evening walkers up the hill. Even outside blossom season, it is a useful breather between Yangnim-dong and the busier downtown streets.
