Haeundae Beach

Korea's most famous beach with lively promenade

Korea's most visited beach — a wide strip of white sand backed by a busy promenade and a skyline of hotels. In summer it gets seriously packed; the water is warm and there are beach volleyball courts, a folk festival area, and a constant stream of street food. Come at dawn in any season for the sunrise over the sea, which draws crowds of its own.

The nearby Tourist Information Centre is unusually well-staffed, with English speakers and printed guides for most of the city's attractions. The SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium is right on the beachfront.
