Shopping

Busan's shopping ranges from vast modern malls to traditional street markets.

Centum City is anchored by Shinsegae — the world's largest department store by floor area — and surrounded by other malls and brand outlets. The nearby BEXCO convention complex hosts regular trade fairs.

Gukje Market in Nampodong sells clothing, shoes, hardware, and everyday goods in a labyrinthine traditional market. The surrounding streets have good street food; Biff Square (named for the film festival) nearby is a pedestrian zone with cheap clothing stalls and snacks.

For something more unusual, Bosu Book Street (보수동 책방골목) is a lane of secondhand booksellers near the Nampodong area — mostly Korean titles but worth a browse for the atmosphere and occasional finds.
