Sacheon has its own small airport with limited domestic flights from Seoul (Gimpo) and Jeju, used mostly by visitors heading to the south coast and Hadong's tea country. Most travellers, though, arrive by bus from Jinju (40 minutes), Busan (two hours), or Seoul (around four hours on express buses).
By car, the city sits just off the Namhae Expressway, with easy connections west along the coast to Yeosu and east to Tongyeong. The Samcheonpo Bridge route to Namhae Island is one of the best scenic drives in southern Korea.
