The Theva Residency restaurant occupies a hilltop position above Kandy with the best panoramic views of any dining room in the city. The menu covers Sri Lankan and international dishes, with a particular focus on fresh fish and seafood. The setting — an infinity pool overlooking the city and surrounding hills — is genuinely spectacular at sunset.
Prices are higher than Kandy average but reasonable for what you get. Reservations are recommended for dinner. The kitchen serves a proper devilled crab when available, which is worth asking about on arrival.
