Toucheng Old Street, officially Heping Street, is a quiet reminder that Toucheng was once Yilan's trading front. It does not have the dense snack-market energy of Taiwan's famous old streets, and that is partly why it is worth a look.
Come for a slow walk past old houses, temples, and modest restored details. The street is close to Toucheng Station, so it is an easy first or last stop.
