Khorugh City Park is not grand, but it is one of the easiest places to feel the town's pace. Families walk under the trees, travellers look for information and onward contacts, and the river keeps the air cooler than the dusty streets around it.
The stonework and paths are a pleasant break after long road days. Pair it with the nearby museum and Ismaili Centre rather than treating it as a sight on its own.
