Khorugh's sights are modest in scale but strong in setting. The botanical garden is the standout: part scientific station, part hillside viewpoint, and a good first walk after the Pamir Highway. The Pamir Museum and Ismaili Centre help explain why this valley feels culturally different from lowland Tajikistan.
Leave time for the centre of town too. City Park, the bridges, and the bazaar streets are where Khorugh works best: not as a checklist, but as a place to sit, walk, and watch a mountain town at the edge of the country.
