The Tarutao archipelago is about being on the water and in the jungle. The main attractions are the islands themselves — their beaches, their viewpoints, and the underwater life around them. Ko Tarutao itself rewards visitors who want quiet jungle and empty beaches; Ko Lipe and the Adang-Rawi group, an hour's boat ride to the west, offer the postcard turquoise water and the snorkelling. A handful of caves, a former prison ruin, and a few high viewpoints fill out the rest.
