Abhisek Dusit Throne Hall

Moorish-Victorian throne hall housing the SUPPORT Museum of traditional Thai royal crafts.

Address Ratchawithi Road, Dusit Palace Complex, Bangkok

The Abhisek Dusit Throne Hall is among the most beautiful buildings in the Dusit Palace complex — a fusion of Moorish and Victorian architecture commissioned by Rama V in 1903. The building now houses the SUPPORT Museum, dedicated to traditional Thai royal crafts: intricate gold and silver work, niello ware, silk weaving, and basketry produced by craftspeople under royal patronage.

The broader Dusit Palace grounds include several other royal buildings from the same Rama V era, all showing the same synthesis of Thai and Western Beaux-Arts architecture that characterises this period of Thai modernisation. Admission to the Dusit Palace area covers multiple buildings and is best combined with a visit to the nearby Vimanmek Mansion.
