The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) opened in 2008 and quickly became the anchor of Bangkok's contemporary arts scene. The building — a white circular structure of 11 floors at the Pathumwan intersection — houses galleries, artist studios, performance spaces, and arts-related shops and cafes on a spiralling ramp that allows visitors to walk through all the exhibitions in sequence.
Entry is free. The programming mixes local Thai artists, regional Southeast Asian work, and occasional international shows. The BACC is directly connected to the National Stadium BTS station and sits alongside the pedestrian bridge to MBK Center, making it easy to combine with a broader Siam visit. The permanent collection is modest but the temporary exhibition space is Bangkok's most serious.
