Chatuchak Weekend Market is the world's largest weekend market — 15,000 stalls spread across 35 sections and 27 acres of covered and open-air trading on Saturday and Sunday. The range is genuinely extraordinary: antiques, vintage clothing, plants, live animals, ceramics, Buddhist art, streetwear, furniture, food, and objects that defy categorisation.
The market is adjacent to Mo Chit BTS and Chatuchak Park MRT stations, three stops north of Victory Monument. Orientation is important: the market publishes a section map with categories (plants in section 2-4, antiques in 26, vintage in 18), and a rough plan saves hours of aimless wandering. Arrive before 11am to beat the heat and the worst of the crowds. The food section (section 2-4 near the clock tower) is excellent for a mid-market lunch.
