The Grand Palace complex is Bangkok's most famous landmark, a dazzling collection of four separate buildings within the same grounds as Wat Phra Kaew. Only the Royal Thai Decoration and Coin Pavilion is open to the public, but the compound is magnificent to walk around. Admission is 500 baht and includes entry to Vimanmek Palace and Abhisek Dusit Throne Hall. Long trousers and covered shoulders are required. Open daily 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
