Terminal 21 takes the concept of the international airport as architectural theme and runs with it across eight floors. Each level is dedicated to a different city — Tokyo, Rome, Paris, Istanbul, San Francisco, London — complete with themed decor, signage, and food outlets. The execution is campy and genuinely entertaining rather than merely kitsch.
The food court on the basement level (themed as San Francisco's Pier 21) is one of the best value food courts in Bangkok, with prices well below what you'd pay street-side in the tourist areas. The mall sits directly above the Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT interchange, making it one of the most accessible destinations in the city.
