Wat Ga Buang Kim

Wat Ga Buang Kim is a quiet Chinatown temple that gives a more local counterpoint to Bangkok's major ceremonial sites. Its most interesting space is the ornamented Boonsamakan Vegetarian Hall, which reflects the neighbourhood's Chinese religious life.

It is not a headline temple, but it rewards travellers already walking around Yaowarat, Nakhon Kasem, and the old market streets. Visit respectfully and keep the stop short unless a ceremony is under way.
