Phetchaburi is famous across Thailand for its sweets, especially khanom mo kaeng — a rich egg custard baked with palm sugar and coconut. The city also has solid Thai food at very local prices. Most restaurants are clustered along Ratchawithi and Ratchadamri roads near the old town.
