Baan Luang Rajamaitri is the carefully restored townhouse of a nineteenth-century Chinese merchant on the waterfront community street. It now operates as a small boutique guesthouse, but the ground-floor café is open to the public for coffee, tea, and Vietnamese-style banh mi.
The interior is the reason to come — original teak floors and shutters, period furniture, photographs of the family who built the house. The café gives you an excuse to look around. Closed Mondays.
