Koh Mak is about the beaches, the water, and slowing down. The island is flat and small enough to circle by bicycle in an afternoon, and the interior of coconut and rubber plantations is criss-crossed by quiet concrete lanes. Snorkelling and kayaking are the main activities; there is also a small but active dive scene focused on the offshore islands to the south.
