Food on Koh Phangan ranges from cheap Thai staples at roadside shacks to surprisingly good seafood restaurants along the beachfront. The main town of Thong Sala has a busy night market where you can eat well for very little. Chalok Lam in the north has several Thai restaurants overlooking the bay. Most beachside bungalow operations also have their own kitchens.
